What is the difference between Visual Studio 2015 Professional and Enterprise?
The Enterprise version is aimed at large teams and businesses. In addition to the features of the Professional version, it includes advanced tools for software testing (e.g. IntelliTest, Code Coverage), architecture validation and DevOps that are essential for business-critical applications.
Is it still safe to use Visual Studio 2015?
Microsoft's extended support ended on 14 October 2025, and there have been no security updates since then. You can still use Visual Studio 2015 for existing projects. For new projects and computers with an internet connection, we recommend Visual Studio 2019 or newer.
Can I develop for Windows 11 with Visual Studio 2015?
This is not recommended. Visual Studio 2015 was developed long before Windows 11 and does not support its modern APIs and SDKs. For development on and for Windows 11, you should use a newer version such as Visual Studio 2022.
