Comprehensive malware protection: Norton 360 Standard goes further than other solutions

Antivirus programs traditionally offer general malware protection. This means they defend against all kinds of malicious software. As well as viruses, they also protect against Trojans, for example. If you buy Norton 360 Standard, you can rely on protection that goes a significant step further. It also includes anti-spyware, which protects you from being spied on. Keyloggers, for example, are identified and disabled. Ransomware protection is also included. This means your data cannot be taken "hostage" to extort a ransom.

Norton's developers have also built in carefully considered features to make the antivirus software practical for everyday use. It includes 10 GB of online cloud storage for backups. If data is lost, it can be restored quickly and easily. If you run the program on your PC or a Mac, you also get a firewall. This prevents malicious software from entering the system in the first place. Norton is so confident in its protection that it offers a Virus Protection Promise: if a virus cannot be removed, Norton refunds the purchase price of the subscription.

Buy Norton 360 Standard and protect your privacy effectively

Norton 360 Standard does more than secure different types of device. It also protects your privacy. A password manager, for example, helps you avoid using the same password everywhere. This significantly reduces the likelihood of a successful hack, which can have serious consequences. For PCs, Norton also offers a feature called "SafeCam". It is common to see computer users with tape over their webcam. They fear that hackers could gain access to the camera and spy on them.

If you buy Norton 360 Standard, you no longer need to worry about this. Access by the operating system or any other software is blocked. Any request to use the camera has to go through the antivirus program. Norton then asks you for authorisation.

Your privacy is also protected by Secure VPN. This "secure virtual private network" lets Norton 360 Standard users browse anonymously without leaving a digital trail. VPNs work as follows: you access websites or online services via another device – for example, a server in England, the USA or Russia. Only its IP address is visible. The information is passed on to you through a data tunnel protected from outside access by strong encryption. You remain invisible. Another benefit is that a VPN can bypass geographical restrictions. If certain sites can only be accessed from the USA, for example, an American VPN server makes this possible.

The subscription model

You can subscribe to Norton's 360 Standard software for one year. If you do nothing, the subscription renews for another twelve months. A notification is sent in good time before the cancellation deadline. The Standard version covers only one device. You therefore need to choose whether to protect your smartphone, tablet, Mac or PC. If you want to protect at least five devices, you should choose Norton 360 Deluxe or Premium. This lets you protect multiple devices with a single software solution.
