What is the difference between Microsoft 365 Family and Single?
Microsoft 365 Family can be used by up to six people, whereas Microsoft 365 Single is licensed for one person only. With the Family plan, each of the six users gets their own account and their own app installations. Everyone shares the 2 TB of OneDrive storage, and each person's files stay private.
Is this a perpetual licence or a subscription?
This is a subscription service. The product key you buy from us unlocks the licence for a term of one year. After this year, the subscription must be renewed in order to keep using the premium features and cloud storage.
How does sharing with the family work?
The primary subscriber invites up to five other people via their Microsoft account. Each invited person signs in with their own Microsoft account and thereby gets access to all the benefits. The accounts and data (emails, OneDrive files) remain completely private and separate.
How many devices can each user install the software on?
Each of the up to six users can install and use the Office applications on up to five of their personal devices at the same time. These can be PCs, Macs, tablets or smartphones.
What is the difference between Microsoft 365 and Office 2024?
Microsoft 365 is a subscription that continuously receives the latest feature updates and includes cloud services such as 2 TB of shared OneDrive storage. Office 2024 is a perpetual licence that you buy with a one-time purchase. You do not receive feature updates and the cloud services are not included to the same extent, but there are no recurring costs.
What happens to the data stored on OneDrive when the subscription expires?
Your data is not deleted immediately. Even after expiry, you can still access and download your files. However, you can no longer upload new files or edit them if you exceed the free OneDrive storage limit, until you renew the subscription.
How do I activate the product after purchase?
After your purchase, you receive a product key from us. You visit the official Microsoft website (setup.office.com), sign in with your Microsoft account and enter the product key. You can then start the installation and invite family members.
