Windows 10 Enterprise

Windows 10 Enterprise is a version of the new Microsoft operating system developed specially for businesses. In addition to the features included in Windows 10 Pro, this version includes further features that make everyday business easier and let you work more efficiently. Thanks to compatibility with touch devices, you are more flexible than ever and can refine ideas almost anywhere.

The modern, user-friendly interface lets you work intuitively, and the returned Start menu provides the clarity you need. Windows 10 Enterprise also automatically adapts to every device and its individual characteristics. For example, the view on a desktop PC differs from the view on a tablet. The barely changed system requirements mean you can use Windows 10 Enterprise on older devices too, with no need for new hardware for the system to run stably.

Special features in the Windows 10 Enterprise edition

• "DirectAccess" for transparent, secure access to the company network for mobile employees
• "AppLocker" is Microsoft's extended successor to Software Restriction Policies (SRP), which lets admins prevent the launch or installation of unwanted software
• "BranchCache", which requires a Windows Server from 2012 onwards, checks before accessing a file stored on a remote server whether a faster-connected local PC is already caching an identical copy
• "Device Guard" lets you define the permitted app sources
• "Windows To Go" allows you to install Windows 10 Enterprise on a USB stick

Windows 10 Enterprise, the complete solution for businesses

In addition to these exclusive features, Windows 10 Enterprise offers numerous other business features such as domain join, Group Policy management, BitLocker, Enterprise Mode for Internet Explorer (EMIE), Remote Desktop, Assigned Access 8.1 and a Hyper-V client. Of course, the operating system also includes all the new features such as the voice assistant Cortana, the new web browser Microsoft Edge, Continuum mode for touch devices and face and fingerprint recognition for greater security.

Common programs such as Mail, Calendar, Music, Photos and Videos, as well as the new DirectX 12 for graphics optimisation, are also included in the Windows 10 Enterprise operating system. In addition, the Microsoft Windows 10 Enterprise version offers the option to join Azure Active Directory, the cloud-based directory and identity management service. With a single sign-on, users get access to numerous cloud SaaS applications such as Dropbox, Office 365 and Concur.

Professional support from the Windows 10 Enterprise operating system

Microsoft has decided to offer Windows only as a service in future, which is why no further versions are planned after Windows 10. This approach focuses not only on system optimisation and troubleshooting but also includes the principle of "Windows as a Service". This means that the operating system is continuously extended with new features that may not have been included at the time of purchase. Windows 10 Enterprise is therefore constantly developed and improved to meet the requirements of professional users.
